How to design a kitchen with a different color island.

by Samantha Rose

It is very common today for people to design their kitchen with a different color island. Our kitchen designers recommend whenever possible to try and use the same door and drawer profile for both color cabinets.

If you are going with a more traditional kitchen like our Georgetown cherry kitchen cabinet you can do the island with our Wheaton collection which is a cream-colored kitchen cabinet.

For a more modern look you can go with a shaker style cabinet, you can use a  white/Ivory shaker kitchen cabinet like our Trenton collection and use our Branford collection which is an  Espresso Shaker kitchen cabinet for the island.

Another modern option is going with a White shaker cabinet like our Essex collection for the kitchen and a grey kitchen cabinet island like our Norwich collection for the island.

At rtawoodcabinets.com we have many more cabinet options with a matching door profile contrast, please call us at 800-788-7575 and one of our kitchen designers will go through all the options with you and design for you the kitchen of your dreams.
